What is fused glass anyway?
Fused glass (sometimes known as 'kiln-formed glass' or 'warm glass') is an artistic technique where clear and/or coloured glass is melted or fused together in a kiln to produce a huge range of art pieces, from jewellery to bowls, coaster, countertop, sculptures, panels and ornaments, etc.
Kiln-formed glass can be split into three basic techniques: Fusing, Slumping and Casting, and other glass processes which take place at temperatures between 1100 and 1700 degrees Fahrenheit. Glass fusing is the process of using a kiln to join together pieces of glass. Heat softens glass and the higher the heat the more fluid or molten it will get.
Our workers have been engaged in the art design fused glass industry for more than 10 years with skilled production technology, there is really no limit to the creative potential of this amazing material. Fused glass art can be any number of things: from slumped bowls and platters, to printed imagery, to anything else the mind can conceive and make.
