Will laminated glass self explosion?
Under normal circumstances, laminated glass will not self destruct. Laminated glass is made by sandwiching one or more layers of organic polymer intermediate film between two or more pieces of glass. After special high-temperature preloading, vacuum pumping, and high-temperature high-pressure processing, the glass and intermediate film are bonded together. Even if the glass breaks, the fragments will stick to the film, keeping it clean and smooth, effectively preventing the occurrence of fragment injuries and penetration falling incidents, and ensuring personal safety.
The reason for the self explosion of laminated glass
1)Defects present in glass, such as scratches, impurities, sand particles, bubbles, inclusions, notches, bursting edges, etc.
2)External force: For example, if the curvature of the glass does not match the curvature of the installation position, it may experience significant external force during installation and may explode after a period of use.
3)Problems during the processing: For example, the placement of the curvature of the outer and inner glass sheets does not match during lamination, resulting in interlayer stress in the bonding layer between the two glass sheets during lamination, which can cause self explosion.
Measures to prevent self explosion of laminated glass
1)Strict quality control: Strictly control the quality of glass during the production process to prevent defective glass from entering the production line.
2)Reasonable installation: Ensure that the curvature of the glass matches the curvature of the installation position to avoid explosion caused by external forces.
3)Regular inspection and maintenance: Regularly inspect laminated glass to promptly identify and address potential issues, ensuring its safety.
